Aims of the ACM Student Chapters in New Zealand

Currently in New Zealand there is not much contact for postgraduate computer science students from different universities. There is a biannual conference for postgraduate computer science students, but little else.

The ACM is promoting the creation of student chapters in New Zealand, particulary in Computer Science departments at New Zealand universities. We aim to create close relations between research students at New Zealand universities. Ultimatly, we want to create a locus for a community of computer science students in New Zealand.

Building these relationships has a number of benefits.
