Undergraduate and Graduate Courses

I'm on a half-time position at the University throughout 2014, teaching COSC121 and COSC411.

Research Interests

My research interests are in human-computer interaction (HCI). I currently head the Canterbury HCI research group.

Current projects and publications.

Christchurch is the hub for exploring the stunningly beautiful South Island of New Zealand. We love hosting visitors. Visitors include Wolfgang Stuerzlinger, Robert Kraut, Andrew Monk, Karon MacLean, Gonzalo Ramos, Carl Gutwin, Alistair Sutcliffe, Ben Bederson, Stephen Brewster, Gerhard Fischer, Saul Greenberg, Jenny Preece, Ben Shneiderman, Bob Spence, and Harold Thimbleby. If you are an HCI researcher and you're interested in visiting, please let me know... we'll be delighted to see you.

Outside work I'm strongly compelled to oppose gravity.
