Welcome to the website for the Christchurch Computer Science for Primary Schools workshops, at the University of Canterbury. Our workshops are focused on preparing primary school teachers to integrate Computer Science into their classroom programmes.

The conference aims to cover:

  • Support teachers with practical classroom activities to teach Computational Thinking including Algorithms, Data Representation and Programming.
  • Provide teachers with practical programming activities, outlining the underlying computer science concepts and exploring how to extend students thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Build a community of learners who teach at primary school level.
