Main Motor Linkage

It's rather hard to see here, but this universal-joint-like coupling allows for linear and angular misalignment in any direction. If you look closely, you'll see that it's subtly different from the usual kind of universal joint. Maybe we can patent it...


This shot is taken from inside the machine looking out towards the main motor (the black object at top left). It's a little out of date; the driving sprocket has since been replaced with a larger one, and a dog clutch has been incorporated into the coupling mechanism.

The surface with the vertical stripes is the front of my trousers as I leaned against the machine and hung my head down inside to take the shot.
