This view is from underneath, showing the ends of the two folding
flaps. Also visible is the optical sensor, salvaged from the same printer
as the stepper motors. The cylindrical
object on the left is the main drive motor.
In case you're wondering, the white things under the baseplate are the
tails of twist ties which are holding wires in place on the other side.
