Synopsis:
The book details the fundamental graphics algorithms, along with their
implementation using the Java programming language. A brief overview
and the salient features of Java are given, followed by a description
of the Graphics class in the "Java.awt" Package. All important algorithms
in computer graphics are then discussed in detail, developed in Java,
and are illustrated with examples. This includes 2D,3D transforms, 2D viewing
functions, Line clipping algorithms, and projections. Advanced rendering
algorithms such as hidden surface removal, hidden line elimination, shading
and shadowing schemes are also described, and the corresponding methods and
classes in Java developed. This book is intended to be a text/reference
material for undergraduate courses in Computer Graphics.
