Prof. Tanja Mitrovic wins the Established Researcher Award

Prof. Jan Evans-Freeman presents Prof. Tanja Mitrovic with the Established Researcher Award


Professor Tanja Mitrovic was awarded the College of Engineering Established Researcher Award by Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof. Jan Evans-Freeman at the awards ceremony this afternoon. In presenting this award, the Research Committee recognises the awardee’s excellence in research based on his/her total body of work. Prof. Mitrovic is one of the world’s leading researchers in the area of Artificial Intelligence in Education, having developed, implemented, evaluated, and deployed a unique methodology for building intelligent tutoring systems (ITSs). The Intelligent Computer Tutoring Group (led by Prof. Mitrovic) has been developing ITSs since 1998 that are used in real classroom and by real students worldwide. She is also involved extensively in professional service within the field of Computers in Education.
