Issues in developing and deploying peer-to-peer (P2P) computing systems.

Abstract
This combined talk presents some of the ongoing research in P2P computing in the Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing Laboratory at the University of Saskatchewan.
The first half of the talk will discuss technical issues such as platforms and management of P2P systems, and the second half will focus on user and motivational issues to ensure participation in deployed P2P systems. We will introduce Comtella, a P2P system for sharing academic papers within a research community, developed in our laboratory.
