What's wrong with Microsoft Project??

Abstract

Conventional project management tools are limited by their inability to reflect specific Project Management methods (PMMs). By abstracting common aspects of PMMs, we develop a data model for PMMs. One of the advantages of this model is that it allows the development of project tools which can implement specific PMMs directly, yet still be used in conjunction with conventional project management software tools.
