Quantitative Analysis of Medical Images

Abstract
This seminar will introduce some of the work that has been done at the Center for Biomedical Imaging and Bioinformatics (CBIB), Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Wuhan, China. The work that will be discussed is mainly related to the quantitative analysis of medical images. The images worked on include X-ray, CT, microscope, video, and photo. We have tried to extract features from the images such as size, length, shape, intensity, velocity, height, deep, density, pace, and so on, and then link the feature values to diseases and human health status. The purpose for this seminar is to exchange ideas between the CBIB and Canterbury University and to find possible opportunities for collaboration.
