Abstract

Allied Telesis Labs will be giving a presentation on their research and development work and welcome discussions with students current doing COSC400 level papers, as well as students completing Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2010.

Allied Telesis Labs, in Christchurch, is the largest research and development centre of a world-wide company at the forefront of the networking technology industry.

We have a large team of highly-skilled professionals, who imagine, design and create dynamic cutting-edge networking products.

We are looking for talented, flexible and innovative software engineers to fill exciting and challenging positions, developing and maintaining our networking products.

In particular, we are looking for people with knowledge of the following:

  • Linux and/or similar OS variants.
  • Embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in GNU make and BASH scripting languages.
  • Programming in C and possibly Assembler.
  • Network protocol and applications development.
  • Network hardware driver development.
