COSC 325 | Project Showcase | SE Showcase 2009!

SE Project Showcase 2009! Haiku

Instructions

Write a haiku summarising your year's work in 17 syllables. No marks will be awarded for this but a prize may be awarded to the best entry.

The typical pattern is:

First five syllables.
Second, a line with seven.
Then another five.

These might score well:

Moffat told us stuff.
We should have listened to him.
It is too late now.
A file that big?
It might be very useful.
But now it is gone.
Yesterday it worked.
Today it is not working.
Windows is like that.
Errors have occurred.
We won't tell you where or why.
Lazy programmers.
I'm sorry, there's - um -
insufficient - what's-it-called?
The term eludes me . . .

but this would not:

My haiku rocks.
It has four, eleven, and five syllables.
That’s right, isn’t it?

Not enough work done
A presentation is due

Good idea to start,
In practice its moderate,
Damn complex coding
Wal and Nev explain
But they say different things
So we'll flip flop now

It could have been different.
Would have been better.
