After Hours Support of CSSE Computer Systems
The CSSE department offers a limited after-hours support service for faults that affect COSC Labs 1, 2 and 4.
Please Note:
The ICTS Unit operates the servers used
by Windows computers in COSC labs and the campus
network, including access to the Internet and WWW. For after-hours
faults with the network and COSC Lab Windows computers, phone
the ICTS Help Desk on extn. 6060 and follow the voice
mail instructions.
Faults with the Linux computers in COSC Labs 1, 2
and 4 during the hours of 0900 to 2100 on weekends and holidays, and
1700 to 2100 on the evenings of working days, can be reported to our
after-hours telephone number: 027-433-1998 (the first 200 characters
of each email message sent to
cosc@emsg.co.nz
are forwarded to the cell phone as a pager message).
Note:
Only faults that affect large numbers of users will be
responded to; generally, such faults will be problems with
the CSSE servers. Faults that affect individual
desktop computers or individuals will have to wait until the next
working day.
