CFP: PERFORMANCE AND ARCHITECTURE OF WEB SERVERS (June 16-17, 2001, Cambridge, MA)




	P R E L I M I N A R Y   C A L L   F O R   P A P E R S

	    PERFORMANCE AND ARCHITECTURE OF WEB SERVERS (PAWS)

		  June 16-17, 2001, Cambridge, MA
	    (Held in conjunction with ACM SIGMETRICS 2001)


Topics of interest include but not limited to:

   Architecture, O/S and scalability issues for web servers
   Server workload characterization and engineering
   Quality of service and load management in the web servers
   Server and gateway issues in wireless web access
   Issues in distributed content hosting (peer-to-peer services)
   Novel techniques for dealing with increasing dynamic and multimedia
content

Papers will be due on or before April 09, 2001, with acceptance
   notification by May 21, 2001.  All papers will be peer reviewed and
   published in a special issue of ACM Sigmetrics newsletter
``Performance
   Evaluation''.
