MPEG-4 and H.263 Video Traces for Network Performance Evaluation

Dear Colleagues,

we would like to announce a publicly available library of
frame size traces of MPEG-4 and H.263 encoded videos:

http://www-tkn.ee.tu-berlin.de/research/trace/trace.html

or

http://www-tkn.ee.tu-berlin.de/~fitzek/TRACE/trace.html

We have encoded over ten videos of 60 minutes length each. For each
video
we have generated MPEG-4 and H.263 encodings at several different
quality
levels. All in all, we provide over 70 hours worth of video traces. The
video traces may be used for network performance studies.

For reference purposes and detailed information
on the traces we refer to the Technical Report

"MPEG-4 and H.263 Video Traces for Network Performance Evaluation",

TKN-00-06, TU Berlin, Dept. of Electrical Eng., Oct. 2000,
which is available at

http://www-tkn.ee.tu-berlin.de/~fitzek/TRACE/pub.html

Your feedback is highly welcome and appreciated.

Best Regards,

Frank Fitzek and Martin Reisslein
