Technical program of PIMRC2001 (Personal Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications) Symposium 2001, San Diego, USA, from September 30 to October 3, 2001.



Dear Friend :
I am writing this email letter to ask your help in the capacity of Technical Program Chair, PIMRC (Personal Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications) Symposium 2001 (General Chair: Professor Ramesh Rao, Technical Program Chair: Dr. Shuzo Kato) which will be held in San Diego from September 30 to October 3, 2001.
In the following paragraphs, you will find short description of PIMRC in general and a summary of PIMRC 2001. Also detailed information files are attached. They are:
1. Call for participation,
2. Program overview,
 
We strongly believe this Symposium will give you and your company a very good opportunity to acquire the latest technical information/trends. Also, this is a good opportunity to show your company's existence for sales and hiring promotion.
I would like to ask you to distribute the attached two files (Call for participation and PIMRC2001 Program) to your friends, employees of your company who are or will be working in wireless related projects.
(I) PIMRC (Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications) in general
PIMRC started 12 years ago as an academic symposium and has been run by non-profit organizations by getting co-sponsorship of IEEE (USA), IEE (UK) and EIC (Japan) as well as many other academic societies. PIMRC has been gathering more than 500 people attending from many places in the world. Special features of PIMRC are:
1. A good balanced symposium of academia and industry,
2. World traveling symposium - each year in a different continent, America, Europe, Asia,
3. High quality and latest technologies presented,
4. Hot topic discussion by panels
5. Good and timely tutorials by distinguished lecturers.
(II) PIMRC 2001 (summary in Call for participation, more in Program Overview and detailed at web (www. pimrc2001.org))
PIMRC 2001 will be held at Sheraton San Diego Harbor and Marina in San Diego from September 30 to October 3 sponsored by IEEE ComSoc (non-profit organization) and co-sponsored by non-profit organizations, IEE (UK) and EIC (Japan).  The summary of PIMRC 2001 and Program overview are found in the attached files.
Summary:
(1) PIMRC 2001 will have world leading Keynote Speakers, a Banquet speaker and Luncheon speaker.
(2) The planned 12 panel sessions cover from network to Bluetooth, Wireless LAN, killer applications for 3G (please refer to Call for participation).
(3) The planned 7 tutorials will give lecture on hot technologies by distinguished researchers.
(4) A total of 212 high quality technical papers will be presented over 54 sessions.

1. Researchers and Engineers who have been and will be working in wireless communications,
2. Marketing and Sales people who need to know the future direction of wireless/cellular communications,
3. Executive Managers who want to quickly grasp the latest trends in 3G/4G cellular systems, Wireless LANs, Bluetooth, etc.
