We are happy to announce the release of version 3.0 of the Inet Topology
Generator.
Inet-3.0 is seen to model Internet topologies more realistically than
Inet-2.x in two key ways:
- More accurate degree distribution of nodes.
- Improved connectivity in terms of minimum vertex cover
It should be noted that these changes are internal and do not affect the
output format of Inet.
You can download Inet-3.0 and the accompanying University of Michigan
Technical Report (CSE-TR-456-02), which describes the updates and
analysis
of Inet-3.0 in detail at
http://topology.eecs.umich.edu/inet/
Bug reports and feedback should be sent to jwinick@eecs.umich.edu.
Thanks.
