Hi:
on Friday, Sept. 20, at 3.10 pm, during the next NRG meeting
(in MSCS room 315), Abdulla Firag will talk on
"Wireless MAC Scheme for Service Differentiation ".
======================================
Abstract:
Wireless LAN (WLAN) is rapidly growing field in computer networks today.
WLAN standards such as IEEE802.11 are being accepted widely and rapidly
for many different environments. However at the time being these WLANs
support only best-effort services. Very recently, with the growing
demand on multimedia applications, many researchers have focused their
interest in wireless networks supporting Quality of Service (QoS).
The presentation discusses a MAC scheme that supports service
differentiation and some results obtained by simulation and compare
it with IEEE802.11 WLAN.

See you there,
Krys
