PPAM'2001: FOURTH INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PARALLEL PROCESSING
		   AND APPLIED MATHEMATICS
*********************************************************************

	NALECZOW, POLAND
	SEPTEMBER 9-12, 2001

	http://www.k2.pcz.czest.pl/~roman/ppam2001

* Organized in-cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied
Mathematics (SIAM).

* PPAM'2001 is a Satellite Event to the FIRST SIAM-EMS Conference,
September 3-6, 2001 Berlin, Germany

GENERAL

The format of the Fourth International Conference on Parallel Processing
and Applied Mathematics (PPAM'2001) will follow the pattern set by its
successful predecessors, the PPAM'94, PPAM'97 and PPAM'99 conferences,
which were held in Czestochowa, Zakopane and Kazimierz Dolny,
respectively. PPAM'2001 is dedicated to a broad variety of subject areas
within parallel and distributed processing, including theory and
applications. The Conference is also intended as an open forum in the
field of applied mathematics. An important goal of PPAM'2001 is to
foster
communication and cooperation between communities studying problems in
this field and communities involved in parallel/distributed
computations.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Topics of interest include (but are not limited) to:

PAPER SUBMISSION and PUBLICATION

Original papers are invited for the conference. Authors should submit
full
papers (draft versions) to the conference office before May 15, 2001.
Papers are not to exceed 12 pages. They should be organized in the usual
scientific format including a short abstract, references to previous
work
and state of the art in the field, aim of the work, methodology used,
results obtained and references. Authors should submit a PostScript file
to: ppam@k2.pcz.czest.pl .

All submissions must be accompanied by single page abstract containing
title, author's names and affiliations, mail and e-mail addresses, up to
five keywords, and abstract itself. In case of multiple authors, one of
them should be identified as a contact person. Papers will be refereed
by
an international committee, and accepted on the basis of their
scientific
merit and relevance to the conference topics. Acceptance will be
notified
by July 01, 2001. Abstracts of accepted papers will be available during
the conference in form of a brochure.

Only papers presented at PPAM'2001 will be included into the proceedings
published after the conference by Springer-Verlag in the LNCS series.
Full
camera-ready versions of accepted papers will be required by October 31,
2001. The author's guide for preparing them in LaTeX will be available
on
the WWW at http://www.k2.pcz.czest.pl/~roman/ppam2001. Alternatively, to
receive the guide, please mail a message to ppam@k2.pcz.czest.pl .

SPECIAL SESSIONS

Special sessions pertinent to the conference topics are welcome. These
events are expected to be highly specialized and focused, and all
accepted
papers will be published in the PPAM'2001 Proceedings. Please send
suggestions to the conference chairman before March 15, 2001.

CONFERENCE VENUE

PPAM'2001 will take place in Naleczów, an unique small town in the
center
of Poland, situated on the Lublin Upland, near the route from Warsaw to
Lublin. Naleczow is famous for its setting, old parks, interesting
monuments of the past and unforgettable atmosphere. The beginning of
September is one of the best periods for visiting this region.
