This page contains files and information relating to my MSc project.A Framework for Linking Projects (PM) and Project Management Methods (PMMs)
This is a framework that links the plan-dominated world of conventional project management (as exemplified by, eg: Planner, to the process-dominated world of project processes and workflow languages. See my paper submitted to PROFES 2005 for an explanation of how the framework works. Here are slides for the talk I gave about the paper.Project Mentor: A Sample Implementation
Here are some files that implement this PM/PMM framework:New
An Applet that implements the framework. Here is the Java source. Compile the code in much the same way as the previous release, but you need appletviewer or a java browser to run it.Animating Project Mentor with Nassi-Shneiderman diagrams
There is an animated version of the applet that uses Nassi-Shneiderman diagrams.
You can see PMM "footprints" in this Gantt chart using Nassi-Shneiderman diagrams slightly differently.
Previous Release
- An X Schema implementation of the PMM meta-model.
- Sample Java implementation and how to compile and run it.
- An empty project instance, used by the Java program, and by the Applet.
Other Files
- msptomrp.xsl, an XSLT stylesheet that transforms Microsoft Project files to Planner (the latest version of MrProject) files.
- pmmtosvg.xsl, an XSLT stylesheet that transforms PMMs written in the Tpmm schema to Nassi-Shneiderman diagrams. The diagrams are written to SVG files that can be viewed with the Adobe SVG viewer plugin, for instance.
